Each individual appointment lasts 50 minutes.

The standard fee applies to individual 50-minute counselling and psychotherapy sessions.

Concessionary Fee – £60

A limited number of concessionary appointments are available for individuals whose financial circumstances may make the standard fee difficult to manage.

Consideration may be given to circumstances such as:

• Financial insecurity or reduced income.
• Significant caring or family responsibilities.
• Recent or ongoing changes in financial circumstances.
• Other circumstances affecting financial accessibility.

Student Fee – £50

A limited number of student appointments are available to eligible adults undertaking further or higher education or recognised professional training.

This may include psychotherapy and counselling trainees undertaking personal therapy as part of their professional development.

Accessing a Reduced Fee

Reduced-fee appointments are subject to availability.

A brief discussion may help establish which fee arrangement is appropriate. The intention is to make consideration straightforward and respectful, without unnecessary financial disclosure or routine requests for payslips or bank statements.

The agreed fee is discussed before appointments begin.

The professional standards, ethical responsibilities and quality of care remain consistent across all fee arrangements.

Payment Arrangements

Payment is made by bank transfer.

The relevant payment details and arrangements are provided when an appointment is confirmed.

Booking an Appointment

Appointments are arranged following an initial enquiry.

This provides an opportunity to:

• Discuss what is bringing someone to therapy.
• Understand how Ooyia works.
• Ask questions about the service and appointment arrangements.
• Consider whether the service is appropriate for the support being sought.
• Discuss the applicable session fee.

Making an enquiry does not create an obligation to proceed with therapy.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required when cancelling or requesting to reschedule an appointment.

Where possible, please provide notice as early as possible so that appointment arrangements can be managed appropriately.

Available to adults across the UK through the practice's online appointment arrangements.

Face-to-face appointments

Available by prior arrangement at the private therapy room in Allestree, Derby.
